Joomla 3.7 Now Available

On April 25, Joomla 3.7 was officially released, bringing over 700 enhancements to the globally popular CMS. This update introduces powerful features that simplify Joomla website management, boost functionality, and include critical security improvements for a seamless web development experience.

A standout feature in Joomla 3.7 is the ability for administrators to add custom fields to articles, contacts, and user profiles, with over 15 field types available. This enhancement offers unmatched flexibility for content creators and site managers looking to customize their Joomla websites.

While the highly anticipated new router was expected, it has been postponed due to implementation challenges, as noted in the Joomla 3.7 release schedule. The router, along with a new media manager, is now slated for Joomla 3.8.

Upgrading from Joomla 3.6 to 3.7 is straightforward. To ensure a smooth transition, disable caching in "Site - Global Configuration" and clear all cache in "Site - Maintenance - Clear Cache" before updating.
